It is the perfect place for a family celebration or gathering of friends. The estate comprises a set of five independent tourist apartments with capacity for 25 people, located on the banks of the Guadiana River next to the Portuguese border and facing the town of Alcoutim and the Portuguese Algarve. It is the perfect option to disconnect with family, friends or for special celebrations. Each dwelling is equipped with 2 bedrooms, 4 single beds and a sofa bed. Kitchen, bathroom and large terrace with views of the estate and the river. Fireplace, wifi, flat-screen TV, heating and air conditioning. Kitchen utensils, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and hob. Bed linen and towels provided. In the common areas you can enjoy a unique building with a large common room with fireplace, kitchen and barbecue, large outdoor terrace and salt-water swimming pool with direct views of the river and Portugal. Furthermore, you can come by boat if you wish and use our private jetty from where you can cross to Portugal with the exclusive ferryman service. All apartments and other rooms are tastefully decorated and offer great comfort. Designed for living together with friends or family or celebrating any type of event. You will have guaranteed rest in the heart of nature and just 300 metres from the centre of the picturesque town of Sanlúcar de Guadiana and Alcoutim, which is accessed by water taxi or private boat. Fun guaranteed with the cross-border zip line, sports and activities that are arranged on the river and the walking or mountain biking routes of the Guadiana Green Way, which starts from the very door of the estate. Elegimos este maravilloso lugar para casarnos y volveríamos a elegirlo sin dudar. Todo cuidado con mucho mimo, cada rincón, cada flor, el olor, la paz esas sábanas blancas y bien planchadas, las toallas, el gallo que te despierta al salir el embarcadero, Marta, Margari o el sr que cuida del jardín hace que sea un sitio idílico, un sueño hecho realidad! Buena ubicación, buen servicio y excelente equipo. Gracias. Volveremos

"Wow! This is stunning!" Pretty much the initial reaction from us all when arriving at Finca Contrabando. And the place really is wonderful!

"Wow! This is stunning!" Pretty much the initial reaction from us all when arriving at Finca Contrabando. And the place really is wonderful!
Amazing appartments, a great communal area - inside and out, a lovely pool and our own mooring on the river to hire river taxis to go to Alcoutim - unless, of course, you go by Zip wire! I suppose we need to mention the cooking facilities - in that as we were unable to use the BBQ due to wild fire risks (totally understandable), we feel an oven in the communal kitchen is essential, we really did struggle to cook for the whole family on 3 hobs and a small microwave. Luckily, there are 2 lovely restaurants a short walk away and at very reasonable prices, so we were able to eat out on some evenings. Also, communication was a bit lacking in that the QR code takes you to a pdf in Spanish which Google translate could not cope with. An easywould sort this out and would mean we would have known about the washing facilities, recycling waste, etc from the beginning. But it was a sensational holiday in rural Spain which we will always remember with joy! Thank you! |

Me gustaría destacar es la profesionalidad y discreción de Marga (la gobernanta de la finca), una señora tolerante, educada y respetuosa y por poner alguna pega los trabajadores que se encargan de los jardines y huerto no paran de aparecer y es difícil tener intimidad con ellos ya que estaban allí a todas horas y varias veces al día.

En mi opinión podían hacer las labores pertinentes a primera hora del día (como hacia Marga) y de esa forma los huéspedes tendría mucha mas intimidad y privacidad.
